Nice fresh run this morning. Dunno why I keep thinking about crawling into the stadium at TO56!
I must be on one of the few runners who's doing TO56 without actually doing Constantia nek and I'm wondering if that's a mistake?
Spoke to our top female runner Saturday and found out she won't be doing the TO56 because of a calve injury. She still beat me in that test run! Also lost our 2007 silver medalist after his mother lost her battle to cancer. He only started training 2 weeks ago. Heard we lost a 3rd runner to a groin injury (told me he had a foot operation!)

Read all about my first sub 50, all thanks to Wilby :-)
1km - 4:34
2km - 4:50
3km - 4:56
4km - 4:58 (w/point)
5km - 4:54
6km - 4:57
7km - 5:02 (w/point)
8km - 5:10 (rough surface over tree roots)
9km - 5:06
10km - 4:25 + 45 sec = 5:10
ATA: 48:56 + 45 sec = 49:41
The course was short 9.89km as per Wilby's garmin but so we're adding an extra 45sec but we're still safe for a sub 50 :-)
