I had to miss Voet of Africa due to my injury and heard about the suprisingly low turnout from Hussy. Annamarie had some troubles and bailed at 38km. Thanks Hussy for Ratso's picture & Ratso for the 42km profile!
IAAF ratifies Bolt's three world marks!
Usain Bolt's three world records at the Beijing Olympics were officially ratified on Friday by athletics' world governing body.
The Jamaican sprinter set new marks in the 100 and 200 metres and also ran the third leg of the fastest ever 4x100 relay along with countrymen Nesta Carter, Michael Frater and Asafa Powell.
Bolt ran 9.69 seconds in the 100 - while slowing down in the final 10 metres - on August 16 to beat his own mark of 9.72, set in New York on May 31.
Four days later, he clocked 19.30 seconds in the 200 to beat the 12-year-old record owned by Michael Johnson and set at the Atlanta Olympics in 1996.
The Jamaican relay team ran 37.10 seconds on August 22 to slice .30 off a mark set by two American relay squads in '92 and '93.
The International Association of Athletics Federations also ratified the women's world pole vault record of 5.05 metres set by Russia's Yelena Isinbayeva in Beijing. She beat her own mark of 5.04 set in Monte Carlo on July 29.
The women's steeplechase world record of 8 minutes, 58.81 seconds set by Gulnara Galkina-Samitova in Beijing was also made official.

I just love this slogan!
If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk!
If you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do keep moving!
My doctor won't agree ;-)
